We are Serenading Strings
Serenading Strings is a string quartet based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We serve San Francisco, East Bay, South Bay, and the Peninsula, playing classical, pop, holiday music, and special requests. We would be delighted to perform for your special event to make it extra special. Terra, Carolyn, Milda, and Jill all perform and teach in the Bay Area, and are thrilled to be playing music together. Terra
Terra is a violinist and pedagogue currently located in the Bay Area. She has a Masters degree in Pedagogy and Performance from Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelors degree in Violin Performance from Arizona State University. She has taught at major universities, including the University of Kentucky and University of North Texas where she was also the Assistant Director of the String Project. Ms. Terra is the Director of the Suzuki Music School in San Jose, directs the String Project at SJSU, and is a coach for the Sunnyvale Youth Philharmonic. Terra is an active member of the Suzuki Association; When Ms. Terra isn’t teaching, she’s out biking or hiking with her family, petting her two cats, or gardening.

Jill
Jill is an active educator and performer of both cello and violin. She spends her days teaching orchestra at Cupertino High School and is a regular member of the Renegade Orchestra and the Cambrian Symphony Orchestra, among other projects and opportunities. She recently earned her teaching credential and Masters of Arts in teaching from SJSU. Jill enjoys playing classical and non-classical styles on all bowed string instruments, and is passionate about sharing her love of music with students.

Milda
Milda has been playing since she was nine years old. She has a bachelors and masters degree in Viola performance and Suzuki certification. She has degrees from Biola University, the Pennsylvania State University and some post graduate work at Duquesne University. MUSIC has taken Milda to many places around the world she loves making music and teaching students!

Carolyn
Carolyn is a violinist located in the Bay Area. She has worked throughout the South Bay teaching private lessons, leading orchestras, conducting sectionals, and performing. Carolyn holds a bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Northwest Nazarene University and a master’s degree in music education from San Josè State University. She has been trained in all the core units of Suzuki teacher training and is active with the Suzuki Association and the Suzuki Music Association of California.
Carolyn regularly plays for churches and special events. She has performed with the Meridian Symphony, San Josè University Symphony Orchestra, Master Sinfonica Orchestra, and many pit orchestras. Carolyn is thrilled to be a member of the string quartet Serenading Strings, playing weddings and events across the Bay Area.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys running, swimming, and gardening.
